What did it take to build Focus This?

It all started with two guys sitting on the trailer step of one of the Ford display rigs at the NOPI nationals two years ago.

We started with one of the basic drawing, just to get the feeling of how it was going to look. The drawing was done by Steve Stanford, until I got a hold of it and put it into my computer.

One of the basic things we had to do is get the wheel base longer. I wanted to do this and not make the body look strange. To do this the only way was to modify the front end by moving the wheel well openings.

What you are looking at in the photos is the steel body, modified with a computer. The real front end was made by USA Fiberglass and is the only fiberglass on Focus This.
